Formerly Fi's Jewellery and Devon Gemstone Jewellery
As a child I was always collecting stones and my Mum, Marion, and I collected semi precious stones, fossils and anything shiny! When I lived in Scotland we used to go for walks in the Ochils where we would find crystal geodes, amethyst and garnet.
As a teenager, I went to school in Edinburgh and after school I would go down to a shop in the grassmarket that sold jewellery findings. I spent many a good hour designing earrings for myself mainly but didn't take it any further.
Eleven years ago, I decided to start putting semi precious stones in jewellery, which would combine two of my favourite things! Fi’s Jewellery was born! I am self taught and am always learning new techniques and designs. I enjoy combing colours, finding many in nature and in looking at different cultures and civilisations for others.
Since then I have taken my love of stones to pebble pictures which involves plenty of time on the beach picking them up, another favourite pastime!
A couple of years ago I decided to add a different type of jewellery to my collection with cork and leather. I love the feel of cork and leather and that they come in many different colours so that my designs can continue to evolve.
This year I changed the name from Fi’s Jewellery to Moor Elements as I live on Dartmoor and wanted to incorporate the pebble pictures and other crafts that I add in the future.
